Capture NX 2.2.2 update now available

Capture NX version 2.2.2 update is now available for download (US link | EU link).

What's new?

Windows:

  • Support for the Service Pack 2 versions of 32-bit Windows Vista Home Basic/ Home Premium/ Business/ Enterprise/ Ultimate has been added.
  • Support for RAW images captured with the D300S and D3000 has been added.
  • An issue that caused Capture NX 2 to quit unexpectedly with batch processing to save RAW images captured in portrait (“tall”) orientation, with specific enhancements applied, in JPEG or TIFF format has been resolved.

Macintosh:

  • Support for Mac OS X version 10.5.7 has been added.
  • Support for RAW images captured with the D300S and D3000 has been added.
  • An issue that caused Capture NX 2 to quit unexpectedly with batch processing to save RAW images captured in portrait (“tall”) orientation, with specific enhancements applied, in JPEG or TIFF format has been resolved.

    This is to notify you that we have initiated the Capture NX 2 Version 2.2.0 download service. Capture NX 2 Version 2.2.0 includes support for NRW(RAW) image of COOLPIX P6000. Capture NX 2 Version 2.2.0 also offers increased batch processing speed, Axial Color Abberation correction function and other new functions.

    Note: On the Mac version you have to install it from an admin user and launch it at least once from that profile.

    Strong indication that NIK Software is out of the game and Nikon is running it solo now. NIK has experience on the Mac platform and wouldn’t commit such a stupid stupid mistake. Also the installer really suck worse than the Adobe ones this time. Instead of the free, native one to the system they wasted money using a 3rd party installer that doesn’t even work right.

    Smart move, Nikon.

      Sorry about that. I wish somebody more competent than Nikon was handling the software development. I’m forced to use Capture NX since Adobe RAW development is inaccurate. At least if they could share the .NEF specs with Adobe, not even. Instead they keep it to themselves so they can sell they crappy software. What a joke.

    2.2.2 released today on Mac by Nikon-france

    Install is ok, very fast (not so many mods ?)

    Works fine, too.

    The updater is only for windows. No update for Mac yet.
