Still on Capture NX2 v2.2.0 : ?
2.2.0 has been available since some months,
so what ?
Yea I know, what kind of news is that. Been using it for months…
Don’t think so – ver. 2.2.2 was released today (08/26/09), you probably have v.2.2.0. Here is another link from Nikon Japan with todays date:

Ohh ok it was because uggg posted the changelog for 2.2.0 and a link to the 2.2.0 download. The right link would have been:

Freaking uggg
Note: On the Mac version you have to install it from an admin user and launch it at least once from that profile.
Strong indication that NIK Software is out of the game and Nikon is running it solo now. NIK has experience on the Mac platform and wouldn’t commit such a stupid stupid mistake. Also the installer really suck worse than the Adobe ones this time. Instead of the free, native one to the system they wasted money using a 3rd party installer that doesn’t even work right.
Smart move, Nikon.
Sorry about that. I wish somebody more competent than Nikon was handling the software development. I’m forced to use Capture NX since Adobe RAW development is inaccurate. At least if they could share the .NEF specs with Adobe, not even. Instead they keep it to themselves so they can sell they crappy software. What a joke.
Sorry, 100 lashes

Install is ok, very fast (not so many mods ?)
Works fine, too.
The updater is only for windows. No update for Mac yet.
