		<description>on the one hand, it&#039;s no big deal to actually measure the amount of current taken out of a battery. every dc meter does that. knowing this doesn&#039;t necessarliy help though, neither does calculating the consumption, because the battery deteriorates and capacity changes therefore. 

on the other hand, with Li ion batteries it&#039;s fairly easy to measure (don&#039;t know how though, look at wikipedia i guess) what&#039;s actually left in there. it&#039;s a safe way if you need to know. 

for me, then again, i carry an extra battery anyway. so i never look at any measurement.</description>
