How about International software protection and copy write laws. Nikon has to deal with a lot of countries that all have different rules before they can release software.

I don't know, but I'm getting the following error message, on both Vista and OS X: "A different region version of ViewNX is already installed. First, uninstall the already installed ViewNX, then reinstall the software.". The file name ends with EUREN. I'm pretty sure I could uninstall my US version and install the European one, but it's stupid.

Yeah I did the same mistake. The links point to the European version, which cannot be installed on top of the US build. There's no update for the US version yet.

why does the installer ask me to uninstall my current version? It says on the website that it should update it, but it wants me to uninstall and then reinstall :( Should be released as a simple update soon I'm sure though.
