Sigma just dropped 3 new lenses

And to double our misery, Sigma just announced three (yes, 3) new lenses (we had this rumor few weeks ago, but it was not quite accurate):

  • Ultra-wide angle zoom, the 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM

what’s Nikon waiting for? are they out of their mind not releasing any new products—especially lenses?

despite of the economy, we still have people with cash to buy stuff!

The new 10-20mm f/3.5 Sigma, which is constant aperture according to dpreview, seems like a lens I would buy, economy notwithstanding.

And despite negative economic grow we still gain purchasing power. How? Mainly because of lower gasprices.

At least, that’s true in my country.

10-20mm F3.5? pretty interesting, hope it’ll be worth buying

Too bad that new Sigma 10-20 has an 82mm filter thread. Deviating from the 77mm mark is a bad move, I think.

It might have been a necessity for the widest lengths to avoid black corners.

As a former Sigma 10-20 owner (and current Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 owner), I’m interested in seeing how the new f3.5 stands up against the 11-16 f2.8.

Despite the financial crisis, it’s a great time to be a photographer. Great technology at our fingertips and it’s only getting better.

It hasn’t for me. The only thing I’m in the market for is the latest 35mm DX and that’s dirt cheap for what it is.

I would be really cool if Sigma would update there wide primes. 20, 24 and 28mm f/1.8′s with HSM and full manual override.

‘Sigma just dropped 3 new lenses’

    How careless! Did they break?

They didn’t hit the ground – they misjudged the distance and front-landed on a de-centred and over-exposed floor.

Is dropped short for “dropped them off at the service center – again” ?
