I can confirm that he will be in a sales meeting next week and announcements usually follow the sales meetings as that's when the reps are made aware of new product (at least in Canada). The D300 being discontinued makes no sense and the thought is devoid of reason. Nikon clearly has an established history of maintaining a product like the D300 in the line up for at least two years. To do otherwise is to piss of your customer base. Nikon IS a smart company an would not do that and have no established history of such behavior.<br />This french retailer will obviously do anything and say anything to make the pre order seem logical and are preying upon the less informed of the general public, shame on them.
