So, how did they leak it without an official Nikon announcement?

im somewhat skeptical of this myself as DPReview hasn’t posted anything nor has Nikonusa.com. honestly the touch screen is somewhat disturbing in my opinion. Nikon is a camera and lens manufacturer, and a touch screen requires different technology than nikon has in the past shown intrest in (also why im hesitant/skeptical of the “video” posibility on the D90). if these rumors turn out to be acurate, then it shows Nikon moving in a completely different direction than what they are set up to do, and that personally makes me worry!

Now I can say these rumors are 100% acurate.

I really don’t know. If I had to guess, and assuming it’s true, I’d say that maybe Nikon sent out some sort of statement in time to catch the morning issue of the newspaper & once the article was ready it got leaked prematurely. After all, there’s supposed to be a official announcemnt of something 6am central European time (that’s what, another 1/2 hour away – we’ll know soon enough!!).

I really like the design and the new features of the P6000, but
even more Mega pixels on this tiny sensor and a lens with this sluggish apertures…

    Nikon, you can do better!
Put more Performance in your P series and i will buy…

Please please nikon get us a D90 by adding NRW-Raw to a D80. I wouldn’t need anything else in the whole wide world.

    From Wikipedia:
North Rhine-Westphalia (German: Nordrhein-Westfalen, usually shortened to NRW, official short form NW)
