Update: there was a press conference in France on Sept. 3rd, but there were no new products announced.We reported this rumor back in July and I* am still getting more emails about a possible Nikon announcement on September 3rd – few comments under different posts also suggest the same:”I can tell you for sure, there will be an announcement on September the 3rd. Here we go… I knew if I actually contemplated getting a D3 over the D700 that it wouldn’t take long before the D3x was on its way.

I might as well just add the darn D700 until the D3x comes out then sell everything I’ve got so I can get it

Can’t wait to see what a 24mp FX sensor produces!

I sure bet it's the non-awaited D3XXL Ansel Adams Edition with a round 300mm diameter sensor.

As it's the biggest silicon wafer one can get as CMOS (so Canon can't beat them with this) and the image circle of the lens is fully used this will be the ultimate camera for every armchair-internet-shooter (and who else reads this?!).

The Pixels will have 20x20um so resolution will be 15.000 by 15.000 with clear images up to 256.000ISO.
