   the 7 is wrong. atleast it’s different from the 7 on the d70.. and i suppose theyre using the same stencil type.

   Look under the terminal cover, there is leather simulated grain! How neat. Only thing that worries me is the empty space below the right of the lens mount.

   Leather simulated grain… That’s just the textured rubber that’s on almost every other Nikon…

   the french website references this website ‘nikonrumors.com’ as the reference for the pending announcement of the D700 release. the post is dated the 18th. I don’t think that this french website means anything.

   All of these D700 cameras have DX lenses on them. I smell a fake.

   I’ll believe it when I see it.
