    I would really like to hear more from the blog admin and other nikon fans about what zoom lens would be best to match with the d700. I see the kit lens is the 24-120 f/3.5-5.6G, but the reviews have been pretty bad for that lens. I hate to by a $3000 body and put a sub-par lens on it. However, the other option looks like the 24-70 f/2.8, which is about $1700 right now. Is there a tack sharp medium zoom in the ballpark of $800-$1100? Something like the Canon 24-105mm f/4L. I’m fine with the f/4, I just want a sharp lens with good glass.
