What I really believe is missing in the actual Nikon AF-S prime lens list is a 300 f/4 VR. More than anything else.

New Zoom - AF-S 50-150 VR II 2.8
Just don't know if it is FF or DX (looks to me to be DX since it gives 70-210 if you multiply it by 1.5.... ) even on FX it will be great for portrait and general use...

I bet the new 28/1.4 uses an injection molded aspherical element and not a precision ground one like the original did. :( AF-S will also make that lens a *lot* bigger and heavier than the original 28/1.4. Take a look at the Canon 24/1.4L to get a feeling for how big the new 28 will be (assuming it actually exists). :(

Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras pricing now available!

The new Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras is already available from Amazon for $499 (you can only pre-order now - shipment on July 10, 2008.
